My strategy in CIV 4 has been to be a peace-monger as I'm playing as the greeks who are fairly diplomatic, until I reach gunpowder when which I will take over the world, starting with the weakest. I have learnt that trying to kill people early on is futile. Should my enemies grow militaristically I shall grow economically and win via time. If all else fails I will move to a remote location and build up from there.
Units:
I have recently researched gunpowder and am rapidly training grenadiers, cannons and musketmen for my offensive on the weaker civilisations. I have also found that longbowmen are suitable defenders.
Units in training:
•Cannons
•Grenadiers
•Musketmen
•Longbowmen
•Macemen
Economy:
I have found that unhappiness is common throughout my lands as well as bad health. I will soon focus on creating more workers and settlers to expand the economy and create happy, healthy cities. I'm also very focused on building mines and roads as it keeps the city producing and also helps movement of troops.
